Richard has a passion for making the complicated easy to understand. In fact, it’s the reason he joined the wealth management world – to communicate with clients in a way that helps them grasp complex strategies and issues.

As a wealth advisor, Richard approaches his clients’ financial futures with the same comprehensive mindset he uses when managing his own family’s financial plan. By considering every aspect and incorporating how saving for retirement, investments, education and estate planning, philanthropic giving and tax strategies can work together to keep his clients on the right track. This helps reduce their worry about what the future holds and about the ups and downs of the stock market, allowing them to focus on achieving their goals.

Richards responsibilities include investment management, retirement income planning, portfolio analysis, client reviews and comprehensive financial planning.  He is able to help with issues ranging from retirement, college, insurance and basic estate planning.

Richard attended Elon University and earned a BBA in finance from the University of Kentucky.  With 30+ years financial services experience, his roles included VP/The Fidelity Private Client Group overseeing the firm's most valued clients representing over $1.2 billion.  In a decade, he attained the Achiever Award for 20 periods and 5 prestigious Presidents Circle awards.  A lifelong learner, he is also licensed in Series 6, 63, 66, 7, 8 and 24, as well as Life Insurance and Annuity.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing and cheering his children’s sports from the sidelines.
